(question spawned out because of a recent verbal wrestling match with a friend from college who said Metallica were the best!I said Nirvana obviously!)

there is no best band.. if anyone likes bands for the music they make, they don't know music..
a band is far more.. it is about the attitude.. a band is the life that the band members lead.. it is the things they do on stage.. it is everything.. not just music
